I think the discourse around tatum is more about the fact that he was hyped and preordained as the next "guy" in the NBA too early and before really proving it. It's not really his fault or anything he's done wrong, but he's been essentially handed the keys as a top 5 player by fans and media since like year 3 in the league and unfortunately its basically those same people coming back around to criticize.

Gordon Hayward got hurt. I think In part because of Kyrie’s selfish play. If Kyrie doesn’t play like he is the greatest thing since sliced bread then he passes the ball to Hayward with direction and purpose. Haward doesn’t have to jump awkwardly to get it and History is changed.

I am still trying to figure the difference between Brown and Tatum, to me it seems that when Karalis mentions Tatum, he sure is going to be a Hall of fame 100%, but with Jaylen Brown it is still a maybe, and that Brown still has a long road to go in order to be in that position. Everything just seems to be given to Tatum without any questions, but with Brown there is always this idea that he has to prove himself, and when he does, the post is moved even further. To me the only difference between Tatum and Brown, is that Tatum just gets more opportunities so his numbers will always be better, and because Brown doesn't get the same opportunities as Tatum, Brown always seems to be year behind Tatum. Brown's passing this year was probably at the same level of Tatum's last year; only difference, is that the Celtics media proclaimed Tatum as if they thought he was an elite passer for his position, but with Jaylen, they were calling him an average passer.....

I remember when a lot of fans, mainly WCT, turned on Hayward because of his wife’s donation to Trump. Lame asf. And also how butt hurt Crowder was that fans wanted Gordo here more than him. Anyway could’ve been a much more substantial career if not for injuries. Godspeed GH. Thanks John! ☘️🔒

I'd agree the C's MIGHT have been able to win a title that first Gordon year... except that was the KD GSW. I'm a homer, but I don't think any version of our guys were beating that team that year.

Man, I'm starting to get a little worried about Tatum's jumpshot. He has struggled for 3 months or more. What's the issue with that? Is it his technique or what? I still love his overall game, and he is still my favorite player, but he has been a little off with his jumpshooting.

Hayward should have consulted with PG's doctors man and took 2 years of recovery instead of playing and getting hurt. Worst part is he got hurt during he's prime years sad.

Another way to look at the Tatum discourse - he's been getting an unfair share of the credit for the teams success so this recent criticism will likely continue until he's slightly under rated. More importantly, it doesn't actually matter what internet strangers say about your favorite player. Don't feed into the emotional reaction content machines.

Hayward would have been a good fit with the last roster spot if he wanted a ring and was willing to do the minimum. Health status wouldn’t be an issue.
